Two-day long Suchitra Sen International Bengali Film Festival and Awards-2024 began at the Jamaica Performing Arts Centre in New York on Saturday.

Popular actor of Bangladesh Ferdous Ahmed was present at the inaugural session of the festival organized by the Suchitra Sen Memorial USA.

A total of 39 movies produced in Bangladesh and Kolkata will be screened in the festival from 11:00 am while entry passes will be available at the venue gate free of cost, organizers said.
